Thursday, May 29, 2008 Day out with Christina The day started off with meeting Christina at Punggol to collect our testimonials from the school. Azraini and Edwin were supposed to join us but we decided to pangseh them and collect our stuff first since they were like super late. Bought the yummy brownies that Sus used to bring to class from SPC while waiting for sickly Christina who is forever late. Saw none of the teachers back at Punggol Sec except for Lee weiwei and Tanweilun, so I was abit disappointed, but still, it's a good thing because it saved me alot of unnecessary comments that would be made about my hair, which is 2x longer than before. =.= Damn sick to have teachers telling me off about my hair, it's really none of their business and concern anymore you see. Proceeded to town afterwards with Chris to hunt for clothes and other stuff since it's THE GSS! Shopping is therapeutic yo, though I'm not a girl, LOL. It's a freaking sad thing to have holidays (irony) before everyone else does because while we the design students see our holidays fleet away from us day by day, students from other schools (who happen to be our friends) will be starting theirs soon right after our holidays end! This means that while we are at our zenith of enjoyment for our long awaited holidays, the other school's students are mugging their minds away for mid sem test. WHICH IS DAMN SAD because other than your own design friends, no one is free to accompany you waste your holidays away. There are couple of instances where by I jio-ed people out and they have expressed their need to study for their test and attend lessons. Bummer right! But I shall not be sad for which they are not to be blamed. Sigh. I shall enjoy the company of fellow designers to the fullest! Yes I like to call ourselves designers for all I care because we DESIGN eh eh, we DESIGN. Anyway, we walked around Wisma and I chanced upon this blue checkered top at Esprit and zomg, it's damn nice. Hell, it was wayyyy too expensive though, so I gave up the idea of purchasing it, but I WILL BE BACK after I saved enough! Went to Taka and saw this red checkered shirt from Wh which was half-priced cheaper, so I bought it upon the cajoling of my guilt for not buying the blue one. I also bought a shirt and a pair of berms from Giordano. Got 30% discount! I'm damn happy yo. More shopping next time! Oh, Christina brought me to Kinokuniya to look at some graphic books and I conveniently bought the legendary Moleskine note book. I shall join the fake, pretentious and coveted elitist journalists who write in extravagant and over-charged notebooks and use the most premium and high end pens. Speaking of illustration pens, I bought 5 Prismacolour pens for zomg, only 5 dollars. This shop (The Creative Hand, i think) is having this clearance sale at Taka and almost everything in the shop is priced with a discount of over 75 percent. I'm NOT KIDDING. The set of 12 prisma warm Grey colours that Huiyin bought for me for my birthday is now selling at 15 dollars per set. I'm gonna faint. CHEAP UNTIL CAN DIE. SERIOUSLY. Huiwen, now SWOOOOOOOOOON. Bought 10 assorted papers for zomg, 2 dollars. YES NOT KIDDING. Sales end in 2 months time, meanwhile you crazy art fiend can go dig at their store for high-end art products at cheap-until-can-die prices. "Stationery shopping is so therapeutic because you just luan spend"- Quoted from Huiwen, and it really lives up to its meaning because I really feel good spending on random stationery especially when they are on monstrous sales. Today is full of satisfying buys and I'm not ending here. Take my words that I'm gonna buy more stuff! HAHAAAAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, but I'm going broke in no time, so I must like do the Shu Uemura Contest extremely well to get top prize and earn money to buy myself MORE THINGS. HAHAAAA.
