Sunday, December 21, 2008 OTC 1 and LIFT CRISIS. Hello, I'm back from camp. The camp was energy draining and I totally knocked myself out yesterday's night the moment I got home. I got a taste of being a programmer, and it's kind of surreal, because the whole process was so compact that it didn't register alot of what I did for the camp into my brain. It was like ching chong type of a camp. Especially so when we have a nightwalk video to edit before the 3 day of camp and so many other station games to juggle. Nightwalk was fab as usual, I think. HAHA. :D This time round I played main character, and managed to make a few campers cry. Wah lao I hate those people who act calm and steady in a nightwalk lor, if you are scared just scream la, make the pogrammers feel good about it right, we worked so hard to give you the thrill, make us feel it's worth it. D: Anyway right, minus the lethargy and discomfort on my knees and toes (i crawled around like siao tar por), the experience was quite fun. ESPECIALLY WHEN I'M ALONE IN A ROOM STATION ON MY OWN! HAHAHA, damn thrilling. Ok, I have no pictures to show you because VC never come and take. Can I tell you something damn dumb? LOL. After the whole camp right, we were supposed to go back our room to pack our stuff. Everyone (programmers) thought that it would be fun to squeeze 20 people in a hydraulic lift at SDC. So we just went ahead and started squeezing (it was after camp, so you can imagine the smell). Then miraculously, the lift started to move. UNTIL we're reaching level 2, THE LIFT STARTED TO STOP!!!! Coz usually, when the lift stops, we could open the door forcefully and close it again, then the lift will continue.... BUT IT FREAKING DIDN'T! OH MY GOD We're stuck at like 1st and a half story, LOL. Initially we thought it was pretty funny, LOL. So we started saying jokes, until we realised it's an emergency. LOL. Luckily there were people outside fanning air into the lift for us, and giving us a sense of safety. Curly kept complaining about how wronged he was to get dragged by ppl into the lift and eventually got stuck in it. HAHA, he was so whiny in a very funny way. LOL. Fortunately, everyone in the lift was pretty calm. And we waited for the technician to come by and save us out after 40 mins. Omg, by the time, we all had stiff limbs and breathing diffficulty. HAHAHA but I think it's all in the mind la... I was pretty allright coz I kept calm and quiet. Oh, Jiahui took photos of ourselves, hahaa... and some ppl outside took video of us. HAHA, at that point in time, I felt like a zoo exhibit and I totally questioned my own intelligence, why did I squeeze myself into that lift. HAHAH. At the end, the maintanance guy came and saved us all out. Yay, freedom. HAHA. It's an episode that is definitely hard to forget. What a great way to bond us all up.
